xThis DJ was introduced to the clubbing scene inMontreal and started to explore electronic music by Djing under the name 'DJJABU'. After having many impressive performances in Montreal, she was offered the opportunity to show her talents internationally.  She was the resident Dj at the Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre and played for many high-profile events such as the Formula 1 Redbull victory party and the Beluga Vodka launch event. Since relocating to Dubai,  she has been busy djing all over the city, in addition to playing events in Oman andQatar.  She was the first female resident DJ at the infamous party brunch at Double Decker Pub at the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel. 

     Starting her career with house music, she always has an emphasis on the driving drums and unique bass lines. Exploring tribal, Latin, Caribbean, and Middle-Eastern melodies, her sets are a journey guided by classical harmony.  Her influences include Carlo Lio, Coyu, Ramon Tapia, and Danny Serrano.  She is a long-time fan of urban music and is very knowledgeable of hip-hop, funk, reggae, and old-school dance classics.  As a hip-hop DJ, the party will be pumping with Dr. Dre, The Roots, Timbaland, and Nate Dogg classics just to name a few.  Aside from being one of the most versatile DJs in Dubai, Janis is also the principal bassist of the Abu Dhabi National Symphony Orchestra, the  UAE Philharmonic, and the Dubai Chamber Orchestra.
